Diara's 9 Month Check-up

Not too much to report other than she's still small...big surprise there..NOT! She's 25 in. tall and a measly 16 lbs. 12oz. The Dr. is a little worried about her height because she's not really even making her own line anymore so she said it'll be something they need to keep on eye on. I guess it's not TOO worry-some because we don't have to go back until her 12 month check-up.

Diara also got her second, and last, flu shot today. She let out two short wails and that was it. She took it like a real champ. She's becoming a lot more independent too. When we were waiting for her turn to get her shots she was constantly reaching to be put on the floor so she could crawl over to a chair or the door. ::sigh:: They grow up so fast...

  1. If only kids would grow when we tell them to....sigh.... ;) Yeah, all babies go through the short chunky, then long lean stages as they grow at their own pace.... ;)

  2. I wouldn't worry too much about the height and weight issue...you are slender and tall yourself. It'll all even out in the end. Just remember to not turn her forward facing in her carseat until she is a year old AND 20 lbs. She might have to ride backwards in her bigger carseat for a little while. We just moved Sarah to her Britax last weekend because she was 3 in. over the limit of the carrier, but it is still rear facing. The AAP now recommends they stay RF until 2 years old, but I am only sticking to what the law requires at a year. 2 years is a little excessive to me. Congrats on Diara doing well with her flu shot! I still have a couple more weeks before I have to take Sarah in for her 2nd dose. LOL to wanting to get down and crawl...they do grow up fast!

  3. Diara still hasn't even made it to the top height adjustment in her carrier. haha! We got that carrier specifically because the weight limit is higher than other carriers at 30 lbs. Guess we won't be needing that, but at this rate she may still be in her infant carrier at 2 years old!! haha!
